David Winter wrote the poetry chapbook Safe House (Thrush Press, 2013), and is currently working on a full-length poetry manuscript. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The Baffler, Grist, Meridian, New Poetry From the Midwest, Ninth Letter, Poetry International, and Tupelo Quarterly, among others. His interviews with other poets have been published by The Poetry Foundation and The Writer’s Chronicle. David received his MFA from The Ohio State University, an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council, and a Stadler Fellowship from Bucknell University. He is currently a doctoral student in creative writing at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln.
